Janine Kelly

Janine Kelly Janine Kelly is a certified elementary school teacher. Her Education degree is from Temple University with an Associate Degree in Earth Science. She attended graduate school at West Chester University. After teaching Junior High School English and Earth Science for six years, she left to raise her three children.

Writing, recording and playing music has always been a great love of Janine's. She considers writing music "therapy for the soul". While writing music for her own children, she was encouraged by family and friends to make this her work—and what wonderful, happy work it has been. For the past four years, she has met thousands of wonderful children, parents, grandparents, caretakers, teachers, and administrators.

While making music, Janine has made special friends at Elementary School assembly programs, libraries, nursery schools, learning centers, township events, and more. She has interacted with groups numbered as small as 10 and as large as 5,000.

Janine's belief is that children do not like to sit and listen for long periods of time. They love to do. This is why the only music that she performs and writes is interactive. She tells the children that they are the performers. Both time and children move quickly. They are active and motivated for the duration of the program but she returns them to parents, caretakers or teachers quiet and settled.
