5K Run

Race Information

The Haverford Township Day 5K race will begin at 8:30 a.m. from the Haverford Township Middle School on Darby Road. Wheelchair participants are welcome.

All race participants will receive a T-shirt. Awards will be given to the first male and female finishers, and best overall time in each age group.

Merry Place

Merry Place, part of the Haverford Township Department of Parks and Recreation, is located in Glendale Park and contains a playground and nature area. The park provides parking, shade trees, picnic shelter, and fishing pier. It has many features for children and adults, including play areas and a tree house accessible for all people.

Our mission is to educate and improve public awareness and acceptance of people and families with disabilities. This would include disability awareness programs in the community as well as inclusive recreational programs such as accessible wetlands, environmental education, music and art.
